Himalaya Kakshapati
Co-founder
Himalaya Kakshapati has more than a dozen years of experience working in the software industry. He has more than six years of experience in the area of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), designing and building end-to-end AI applications for the U.S. healthcare industry using Cloud services, such as IBM Cloud, IBM Watson, AWS (Amazon Web Services) and cutting-edge tools and technologies. He has worked extensively on Data Science projects. He is a Spark NLP Data Scientist and Spark NLP Healthcare Data Scientist certified by John Snow Labs, USA. He is also an AI consultant.
He is an avid educator as well, and has taught Computing courses at various renowned colleges in Kathmandu with remarkable results.
Himalaya has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics from the University of Illinois Chicago, USA, and a Master’s degree in Software Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire, UK, both with distinctions.
Suresh Pokharel, PhD
Co-founder
Dr. Suresh Pokharel received his PhD ( area of research - representation learning in healthcare data) from The University of Queensland, Australia and a Master of Engineering in ICT from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand. His main areas of research interests are AI/ML (Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning), semantic web, representation learning, software engineering, and application of IT/ML (Information Technology/ Machine Learning) in the education system. He has more than a dozen peer-reviewed scientific research articles published in highly ranked international journals and conferences.
Dr. Pokharel has more than a decade of experience in a variety of sectors ranging from Nepal Government (as a Computer Engineer) to private sector (leading a software company) and a major bank (as second class officer, 9th level). He has been working as a visiting faculty in different colleges and universities since 2010.
Currently, Dr. Pokharel is actively working on bridging the gap between academia and industry. He is also involved in various software development projects, research projects and teaching activities.
Sunil Manandhar
Co-founder
Sunil Manandhar has over 14 years of experience working in UX Design (research, creating ideas, processing workflows, wireframing, prototype, designing system), UI Design (layout design, visual design, color, typography, etc.), and front-end development (HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, and React).
Additionally, he has more than five years of experience in photography, particularly landscape photography.
Currently, he is working as a Principal Creative Designer at Cedar Gate Technologies, a US-based software development company, improving high-end UI design, front-end development, creating ideas, wireframing, prototype development for software applications, visualization, and illustration.
He has a Master in Business Studies (MBS) from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal
